Biology and Dinoscopes

Today at Enrich we got to choose what we wanted to do out of Art Cartooning with Katie, Chemistry with Jenni or Biology and Dinoscopes with Darryn. I obviously chose Biology with Darryn. We got to take super close photos. I took exactly 20 photos. We took some of our skin. It looks so gross and crusty. I took one of my Southland Stags top it looks like fresh blood.

Here is one of my pictures. It is just pen on my skin but it looks like blood! UUGGHH!!!!!!!

Environment

Today at Enrich we decided what we wanted to do to help the environment.  Me, Josh, Jordan and Max wanted to work together and we all wanted to work on Seaward bush.  We are going to create stoat, weasel and rat traps and also hang up bird feeders and walk around to check if we chase anything.  For my high interest station I made a tessellation.

Technology challenge

Today at Enrich we had to start a technology challenge. We had to launch a shuttlecock the furtherest with only 4 rubber bands, 2 straws, 4 tooth picks, a cup, tin foil and cellotape.  We got sorted into teams, my team was Claire ,Connor ,Hamish and Tara.  We had only 20 minutes to complete it, we made a slingshot but at the last minute it collapsed.  The prize was chocolate. 

Tessellations

Today at Enrich we got to decide what we wanted to choose out of  tessellations with Darryn  
art with Katie or the most popular chemistry with Jenny. I chose tesselations. Tesselations are a sort of pattern that is repeated each time. First you must draw a shape that can be joined on with the same shape every time. Then just repeat it until it is big enough. Here is mine.

Last Day Reflection

Hi it's me again. Today at Enrich since it is the last day at Enrich for term two :(  we had to do two reflections today. One was where you think you are for blog posts and managing yourself at doing independent tasks. The other one was a sheet for thinking back on what we have done and learnt this term.

Canstruction

Today at Enrich we continued with our canstruction on the despicable me minion. We learnt exactly how much cans were going to be in it there was 327 cans. We sketched it out on active inspire we needed three colours yellow black and blue. There is 12 rows. Here is my plan and my active inspire sketch of it.

Kowhaiwhai patterns

Today at Enrich we finished of our Kowhaiwhai patterns. A Kowhaiwhai pattern is a Maori type of art. A Kowhaiwhai pattern has to be symmetrical. In a Kowhaiwhai pattern there is only three colours black red and white.To start I had to use a French curve to sketch out the pattern. Then I went over it really hard and then we sat it on a board and did it hard again and it showed up on the board then we painted it and finally I went around it in vivid. I had a great time learning how to make a Kowhaiwhai pattern. Darryn gave me a lot of good advice.
