Kowhaiwhai patterns

Today at Enrich we finished of our Kowhaiwhai patterns. A Kowhaiwhai pattern is a Maori type of art. A Kowhaiwhai pattern has to be symmetrical. In a Kowhaiwhai pattern there is only three colours black red and white. To start I had to use a French curve to sketch out the pattern. Then I went over it really hard and then we sat it on a board and did it hard again and it showed up on the board then we painted it and finally I went around it in vivid. I had a great time learning how to make a Kowhaiwhai pattern. Darryn gave me a lot of good advice.
