As you know I have completed my stone carving for passion time so today I got to pick what I wanted to do. I decided to join inventions with Max and Luke. We had to come up with solutions to annoying problems. I came up with the twink pen it would white out the mistakes in your writing so its pretty much a pen with twink on the end of it. I also came up with the zip grip. It is a zip on grip to your rugby ball that has lost it's grip. I could become a millionaire if I keep this up!!!!
Today at Enrich we had to do the normal must do's and picks. First we completed one of the must do's called Adora Svitak she is a very talented 12 year old and she stands up for kids dreams. In our own time me Jordan, Max, and Luke attempted to finish one pick called the spinning matchstick experiment. It is very hard to balance the $1.00 coin on the 20 cent coin but edventually we got it and the balloons static electricity moved the matchstick.
Hi it's me again, today was the first day at Enrich for term 4. Today we had to do a technology challenge on MacGyver. He was knocked out and when he woke up his feet were cemented into the ground. There was a chisel and a hammer 2.5 m away and a bomb that would explode in 1 minute! We had to make a contraption to grab the chisel and hammer, we used 8 pieces of newspaper 4 paperclips 3 arm lengths of cello-tape and string. We had 15 minutes to do so, my group would have exploded!!!
Today is the last day of Enrich for the term I know it's gutting but luckily we finished a lot of fun stuff. Like chess I defended my 7th place spot against Jordan phew.......We also played a Wilson game called "bullseye". But we also had a lot of paperwork like our goal setting for the term and our key competencey. We luckily got some passion time my stone carving is so close to finished Jordan finished his but it snapped in half.
Today at Enrich we played a new Wilson Game called Picadilly Circus. Picadilly Circus is a game that you have to think about strategy. There is one ball in the middle and you have to hand it around the circle but you can't hand it to the person right beside us. The record was 56 seconds by another class. Our first 3 turns were all 1.11 minutes, but our 4th was 39 seconds!! Hip hip hooray Thursday!!
Today at Enrich after the roll we played leader board chess. Before we even started Jake challenged me I was annoyed but I said "yes". When the game started after 10 minutes we didn't take out any pieces!!!! Then everybody told us to hurry up, the game finished after about 45 minutes but Jake won by one point. I was so ashamed so I rematched him at lunch and he forfeited so I defended my place in 4th.
Today at Enrich we started the 2nd round of Fibonacci with Alana. If you don't know what this is it is a complicated system invented by Leonardo Fibonacci it's sequence that goes 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21 it you add the previous number with the 2nd previous to get the answer. There are several ideas for how it was invented. Some think that it is cows because of their breeding process the same with rabbits and bees. But there is a method of a snails shell if you draw out the Fibonacci numbers and put curved lines through them it makes a snail shell.
